A Hearty Celebration of Brilliant Minds

A huge congratulations to our outstanding math champions! At the Winners Gathering Dinner hosted by Mr. Adriel Chan, Chair of Hang Lung Properties, we celebrated the achievements of our 2025 HLMA winners with educators and acclaimed scholars.

In his welcome remarks, Adriel expressed heartfelt appreciation to everyone who has contributed to the growth and success of the HLMA community over the years. He noted that participation in HLMA extends well beyond competition results. It is also about nurturing curiosity, a collaborative spirit, and perseverance in sustaining the research process. He further highlighted the importance of a balanced education and the role of cross-disciplinary thinking in equipping young talent for emerging challenges.

Echoing this view, Mr. David Foster, Executive Director of Croucher Foundation, remarked that the analytical mindset developed through mathematical research has lasting value beyond the field of study. He also noted the shared mission of the Croucher Foundation and HLMA in identifying and supporting emerging talents with a passion for knowledge.

Following dinner, Professor Ngaiming Mok, Chair of the HLMA Steering Committee and member of the Scientific Committee, reflected on the significance of arts and humanities in the age of AI, reaffirming the irreplaceable role of creativity, imagination, and innovation.

More than a celebration, the evening was a gathering where stories were shared, perspectives stretched, and new connections formed. Our winners brought home their crystal trophies with their names engraved, personalized certificates signed by Scientific Committee members, and many happy memories.
