Professor Grimson, who earned his PhD in Mathematics from MIT, is a pioneering researcher in computer vision – a field of AI that enables machines to interpret visual information. His work has greatly improved medical image analysis, supporting surgeons in performing minimally invasive surgeries and tracking brain structure changes caused by diseases.
