Celebrating 20 Years of Excellence: Shaping our Future

Our journey began in 2004, when a small group of visionaries founded Hang Lung Mathematics Awards as a pioneering initiative to discover mathematics talents in Hong Kong and promote the development of basic sciences. Over the course of 20 years, more than 2,500 students from over 200 secondary schools have participated. Together they have produced more than 400 research papers, and we are proud to have awarded prize money close to HK$10 million celebrating their expectational achievements.

As Hang Lung Mathematics Awards celebrates its 20^th year, we are proud to unveil a special logo to commemorate 20 years of excellence. The design draws inspiration from geometric patterns in mathematics. The ten Bézier curves represent ten editions of the Awards and our dedication in fostering young mathematics talents and promoting intellectual curiosity. This logo symbolizes Hang Lung Mathematics Awards’ commitment to excellence and the spirit of exploration that the competition instills in its participants, inspiring them to achieve their full potential in mathematics.
