Interview Series with 2023 HLMA Winners – Bronze Award

Winning an award in a competition is undoubtedly gratifying, but the true value lies in the growth and learning experienced throughout the journey. Hei Tung Tam of HKUGA College took the bold step of entering her first mathematics research competition as a solo team. Inevitably, she encountered challenges along the way. Hei Tung benefited greatly from the mentorship of her teacher Mr. Alan Fong. As the Gold Award winner in 2014 HLMA, Mr. Fong’s profound mathematics knowledge and competition experience provided invaluable guidance and helped her turn adversities into opportunities.
