Prof. Shou-Wu Zhang – Prominent Mathematician and HLMA Advocate on 2023 Scientific Committee

This year, the Scientific Committee of Hang Lung Mathematics Awards (HLMA) is pleased to have the continued support of Professor Shou-Wu Zhang. Professor Zhang is a prominent mathematician and Professor of Mathematics at Princeton University, specializing in number theory and arithmetic geometry.

Professor Zhang has made significant contributions to the field, including proving the Bogomolov conjecture in arithmetic geometry and the generalization of the Gross-Zagier formula of elliptic curve. His achievements has earned him numerous prestigious awards, including the Sloan Research Fellowship, the Morningside Gold Medal of Mathematics, and the Guggenheim Fellowship. Professor Zhang is also a member of the scientific committee for the 2023 Future Science Prize.
