The 2021 HLMA Steering Committee has enlisted mathematicians and representatives from different sectors of society, including leading educators and heads of mathematics departments at major Hong Kong universities. Some of them have been long serving members of this Committee since the inauguration of the Awards, and we are pleased to welcome new and young members joining for the first time.

The 2021 HLMA Scientific Committee comprises renowned mathematicians from eminent universities around the globe, covering Asia, Europe, and North America. Their expertise encompasses a wide range of fields in both Pure and Applied Mathematics. Some of the members are leading experts from algebraic geometry, differential geometry, geometric analysis, partial differential equations, probabilistic and extremal combinatorics, arithmetic geometry and number theory, harmonic analysis, and fractals, while others are leading figures working in nonlinear optimization, wavelets and variational methods for image processing and imaging applications, financial mathematics, and theoretical particle physics.
